Dr. Chaquita Gibson is a native of Illinois. Dr. Gibson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and is also trained in EMDR. Dr. Gibson graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Geology in 2000 and went on to obtain an educator endorsement. Dr. Gibson attended Texas A & M University and obtained a Master’s degree in Education in 2006 and obtained an endorsement as an education administrator.
After a career in education for 11 years Dr. Gibson decided to pursue her dream of helping people to overcome life’s challenges. She obtained a Master of Social Work degree in 2013 and a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) degree in 2021. She has completed specific training in EDMR, Coaching, SFBT, and Domestic Violence. Dr. Gibson has experience working with acute and chronic mental illness and substance abuse in the hospital setting to include group therapy, family and individual therapy. She has experience providing crisis intervention and has developed the motto “through perseverance anything can be accomplished.”
Dr. Gibson' s goal is to help you to persevere through life’s challenges to support you in leading a healthier life.
